Saturday 28/09/19 – Kelburne 2XI was put under pressure early in the game as Edinburgh Uni 2s took the lead within a minute giving them their first goal of the match. Douglas McEwan managed to pull off a great save at the away end before Aaron O’Hear broke into the home D creating a chance for Kelburne. However, moments later Edinburgh run up the pitch and make it 2:0. Edinburgh continued to keep up the high pressure which lead to their third goal. The rest of the half saw Kelburne struggling to get the ball out of their own half, but they did manage to break forward and get their only shot of the match through Bob Martin who hit the side netting. Edinburgh university managed to score 1 more, making the half time score 4:0. Kelburne started the second half more positively however Edinburgh manage to make it 5 through a short corner. Unfortunately, in the 24th minute, Gary Brolly triggered a penalty flick, despite Douglas McEwan getting a touch to it, Edinburgh made it 6. Less than a minute later Edinburgh hit the post, they then went onto make it 7. Edinburgh university managed a final goal more before the final whistle. The game finished Edinburgh University 8 Kelburne 0.
