After regaining their place at the top of the table for the first time this season Bromac Kelburne had their sights set on maintain their excellent form until the Christmas break ? with 3 games remaining nothing less than 3 wins is expected.
Today?s opponents Uddingston sit bottom of the table but this Glasgow derby could have always been a potential banana skin. However the pre-match pep talk from captain Johnny Christie clearly had the desired effects and the team came raising out the traps to take an early 2-0 lead with goals from Jack Mackenzie and Lee Morton. The crowd were certainly being entertained when Christie set up the second goal with a pass through his legs.
Bromac Kelburne continued to pile on the pressure and it was evident to why Uddingston have a goal difference of -42. Further goals in the first half coming from Josh Cairns and Johnny Christie, both from set plays and man of the match Lee Morton rounding off a well-deserved first half hat-trick with goals from open play.
Half time 6-0
More of the same were the coach?s orders and the team duly obliged with second half goals coming thick and fast starting off with drag flick specialist Michael Nicol giving the keeper no chance with a bullet into the bottom corner. Further goals from Johnny Christie, Jack Mackenzie and Lee Morton (2) saw a comfortable win for Bromac Kelburne 11-0. Even defender Craig Morton fancied a chance to get on the score sheet as he was seen wondering around the Uddingston 'D' getting a nosebleed on several occasions.
Plenty positives to be taken from the game, none more so than an 8th clean sheet of the season ahead of a far tougher task next week.
Man of the Match - Lee Morton
