Young 5s lose to local rivals Western

The game took place on pitch 2 at Glasgow Green, earlier a game had been abandoned on pitch 1 due to a water logged pitch cause by heavy rain.  Pitch 2 was playable and the surface improved as the game went on.

First half.

Western went 1 up after 7 minutes.  A few well timed deflections by Willie Hunt saw the score remain the same until the 28th minute when Western scored again.  David Ogilvie made some crucial saves that saw the first half finish 0:2

Second half.

The second half saw chances from Alan Gillies (who hit just wide of the post) and Jay Berry (who slipped up on a chance to pull a goal back).  Throughout the game defence and midfield were strong however with more experience, Western were able to hold on to the win.
