Kelburne 3 10
Gklasgow Accies 0

Kelburne 3s all but secured the league title on Saturday with a convincing 10-0 win over Glasgow Accies at Windyedge.

Kelburne opened the scoring early on with forward Alan Kennedy adding to his goal from last week as he drove past 2 Accies defenders before slotting the ball past the keeper.

Kennedy then added his and Kelburnes second as he finished off a neating passing move. This was also the teams 100th league goal of the season.Kelburne continued to keep Accies in their own half but without adding to the score, until 10 minutes before half time Kelburne won their first short corner of the game and David Fowler dispatched his flick into the top left corner with a deflection off a defenders stick. Fowler made it 4 soon after with another flick this time into the goalies bottom left corner.

Kelburne piled on the pressure before half time but could not force another goal.

Kelburne returned for the second half as keeper Phil Carr took a shot upfront after only touching the ball once in the first half. This change paid off as Carr scored 2 deflections in quick succession to make it 6-0.

Then defender Fraser Scott decided to get in on the action. Firstly a tidy strike into the bottom corner after a short corner strike from captain Andrew Bremner was saved.

The second with a neat finish after a pass from Fowler from a free hit. Fowler himself then completed his hat-trick with a solo run finished off with a fantstic reverse stick shot into the bottom corner. Accies only managed out their own half a couple of times in the second half but could not trouble the Kelburne defence who were still playing without a goalkeeper. Mj Shaw rounded off the scoring after a flowing passing move with young Jason Cairns passing to Bremner at the top of the area who found Shaw at the backpost to tap past the keeper.

This gives the third team a three point lead at the top and they also have a superior goal difference with the last game of the season coming up against hillhead.
