Kelburne confirmed their place at the top of the National League division 1 table with a comfortable 9-1 victory over Watsonians in Edinburgh.
For the second match in succession Kelburne found it difficult to get there free flowing brand of hockey going on a sand based pitch which was more like a beach. Johnny Christie opened the scoring in the tenth minute when he fired home from close range.
Kelburne dominated the remainder of the half and led 5-0 at the interval following goals by Chris Nelson (2), Alan Forsyth and Kenny Bain. The only blot in the copybook was a yellow card handed to Bain as half time approached.
Kelburne remained in control for the whole of the second half and further strikes by Bain, Nelson, Johnny Christie and Michael Bremner bringing the tally for the day to 9 and 13 for the weekend.
Kelburne sit top of the league, level on points with Inverleith, although with an already superior goal difference. Next week they face another trip to Edinburgh to face Grange and have a home game at Bellahouston against Dundee Wanderers.
