Ladies 1XI Win Comfortably

Kelburne pushed forward from the opening whistle, which soon paid offas the first goal of the game arrived inside 10 minutes with Julie Bryce making her trademark baseline run to pass the ball back post for Julia Wilson to slot away. Kelburne continued to put the pressure on with youngster Emma Barlow winning the first short corner of the game, however the paisley side were denied a goal with a good save from the opposition keeper. The 2nd goal of the game came from some skillful play by Laura Wrightson who placed a fantastic through ball to Bryce who slotted it in bottom left . With the score standing at 2-0 at halftime, the paisley outfit were dissappointed with the number of missed opportunities.

Kelburne again dominated the 2nd half, with the 3rd goal of the game coming after just 7 minutes from a clinical straight strike at a short corner from Katie McKay.  This was soon to be followed when 2 minutes later the ball was played into the D and fell to Claire McFarlane who strikes the ball past the Grange keeper to make the score 4-0. The Edinburgh side attempt to get the ball out of their half by some good build up play but fail to really put any pressure on the keburne defence. The last and by far the best goal of the game came from a short corner, when Laura Wrightson strikes the ball to back post for Julie Bryce to send it flying into the roof of the net.

Final score ending at 5-0, although a decent scoreline kelburne should have capitalised on more of their chances!!
