New Sponsor for Gents 1st XI

The Gents 1st XI have secured a timely boost prior to their European adventure having secured a four figure sponsorship deal with the Glynhill Hotel in Paisley.

The team will now be known as Glynhill Kelburne and the players will carry the logo on their strips for the remainder of the season starting with this weekends trip to Barcelona to face Pembroke Wanderers and top Dutch outfit Rotterdam.

Reflecting on the deal, Kelburne President Harry Coles commented:

"We are delighted that such a well known local company as the Glynhill Hotel have decided to come on board and back the gents 1st team this season .

As you will be aware sponsorship for amateur teams is very difficult to come by in the present financial climate ,so the fact that the Glynhill have agreed to a 4 figure deal will help alleviate some of our immediate financial pressures ,something that most clubs are having to cope with in the present downturn .

The Glynhill hotel is ideally situated within 7 miles of Glasgow city centre and apart from over 100 elegantly appointed bedrooms they can offer a wide range of restaurants ,bars ,a luxurious leisure club and combined with state of the art conference and banqueting facilities the Glynhill believes that they offer their guests a unique experience .

Like the Glynhill we at Kelburne firmly believe that we can offer our members and Scottish hockey in general ,a team which can produce a unique blend of fast attacking hockey ,which has seen this club produce two periods of unparalleled success over the past decade .

It is also worth noting that several of the club members have been introduced into the hospitality trade with the Glynhill hotel over recent years and the club are pleased that this association continues on to the hockey pitches of Scotland and indeed Europe."
