With the gents 1st team in winter hibernation the attention switches to the other teams searching for silverware this season.
The new look gents 2nd team have made good progress so far this season but the side will have to be at their best to take something from their clash with fierce rivals Western Wildcats, which pushes back at 13.00 at Bellahouston.
The Wildcats currently lead the league one point of the 'Burne side, but a victory would take the 2's top. Kelburne will look to veterans Colin Bryce and Stuart Robin to lead the side to victory and John Rooney will be looking to continue his fine early season form in goal. Young guns Ryan Edgar and Michael Nicol have also made great sides this year and will be looking to continue their development in this game.
The gents 3's under the astute captaincy of Alan Ralph have also made a solid start to the season and also face Western tomorrow. Ralph is able to call upon the talents of the evergreen David 'Musky' Fowler and his experience will be key if they are to come away with a favourable result.
The gents 4's and 5's will also be looking to take maximum points from their games tomorrow with the 4's relying heavily on ace marksmen Alfie Gillies to fire them to victory over Hillhead and the mix of youth and experience of the 5th team looking to continue their fine start to the season against Ayr.
The Ladies 1st team face one of their toughest challenges as they travel to Dundee to face the ever improving Dundee Wanderers. Wanderers have made great strides in recent years but 'burne will be confident of getting a positive result, following good results last weekend. International striker Julie Bryce commented,
"Dundee Wanderers will be a big test for us, we will need to be at our absolute best to secure a victory, and making the trip to Dundee adds an extra challenge"
With Bryce again likely to miss out through a nagging injury, 'burne will look to the midfield talents of Internationalist Laura Wrightson to inspire them to victory.
The Ladies 2's and 3's are also in action with the 2's led by Helen Paxton in action against Hillhead and the 3's in action against Uddingston at Linwood. On current form victories are well within the reach of both teams.
