The newly promoted Kelburne 3XI continued their unbeaten record in division 2 with a convincing 8 goal victory over Uddingston. Kelburne started positivly, putting early pressure on the visitors but failed to convert this into goals. However, it was not long until Kelburne took the lead through a neat passing move and from this the floodgates opened. Kelburne quickly added two more goals to their tally and by half time had extended their lead further to a 5-0 score at the interval.
With the start of the second half Kelburne continued where they left off scoring 3 more goals before an injury to an Uddingston player forced an early end around 10 minutes from time. Due to excellent passing between the team Kelburne were able create numerous opportunities for themselves in a game where the defence and goal keeper were rarely troubled. The goals came from Amanda Maxwell with a hat-trick, Jeniffer Owen with 2 and goals from Mhairi Gordon, Drew Berry and Molly Godfrey.
This leaves Kelburne at the top of the league and full of confidence for the next game!
