2's Continue Chase for Glory

This weekend the Mens 2nd XI will continue their quest for silverware as they are in action in league and cup duty this weekend.
 
On Saturday they face Inverleith in the showpiece game at 14.30 at Bellahouston. Following a slow start to the season the team have found form recently and showed this with an 8-0 victory over Watsonians last weekend, following on from their disposal of rivals Western Wildcats.
 

With the experience of Gordon Menzies, Stuart Robin and Colin Bryce guiding the youngsters within the squad, they appear to be well on thier way to an unprecedented 8th league title in a row. 'Burne have also benefited from the addition of Josh Cairns to their ranks in recent weeks and his expertise at the set piece could prove vital over this weekend.

 
On Sunday the 2's begin thier battle to regain the District Cup, they face Madras in an 11.00 push back at St. Andrews. Captain Fraser Scott is confident of claiming two wins
 
"the team have started to play well in recent weeks and we will look to keep ourselves at the top on Saturday. Sundays game will be a tough one, but we are determined to win back the cup this year." 
 
The Mens 3's are in Cup action this weekend and will be looking to build on last weeks hard fought victory over the 4th XI. They face Madras with a 16.00 push back at Rosyth. Skipper Alan Ralph will be looking for a strong performance and will be looking to Andrew Bremner to continue his fine from in the Midfield. David Magee is still unavailable due to international commitments. 
 
 
The Mens 4th team also launch thier cup campaign this weekend, with a trip to Edinburgh to face Watsonians. The team are still smarting from last weeks defeat to the 3's and will be looking to bounce back on Saturday. The squad is boosted by the call up of 5th team prospect Steve Bain for his debut this season. Skipper Alan Malcolmson will be looking to the forward line of Jonno Fergusson, Alfie Gillies and Mark Fulton, to ensure his tem are in the draw for the next round.
 
With the Ladies 1st team not in action this week, the spotlight falls on the 2nd team,who are in Cup action on Sunday against Watsonians. The team have made steady progress this season under the watchful eye of Helen Paxton-Steele and will be looking to banish memories of last weeks game against Western and ensure safe progression to the next stage.
 
The Ladies 3's face a double header this weekend and face Western Wildcats on Saturday and George Heriots on Sunday.
