Giffnock 3XI: 1
Kelburne turned up on this cold February morning raring for a good result, following the disappointment of the previous weeks. The Kelburne attack was quick to pressure the Gifnock defence, and a shot from Neil Godfrey narrowly missed the goalmouth. Kelburne continued to pressure Gifnock's 'D' and were soon awarded a short corner. The Gifnock keeper managed to block the shot, but youngster Jack MacAlister managed to get a second stike which narrowly missed the left post. Gifnock finally managed to break free from their half and were soon awarded two consecutive short corners, neither of which they could convert. Luckily Kelburne could take advantage of the Giffnock short corners and, following a quick counter attack, the Gifnock keeper was struggling to deal with the barrage of shots from the Kelburne forwards. Following a moment of confusion among the Kelburne defence regarding the absence of a decision from an umpire, Giffnock took their first real opportunity of the game. The score now stood at 0 - 1. Kelburne attempted to fight back in the final moments of the half, but were unable to finnish with a strong shot.

Giffnock were determined to controll the final half of the game, and their attack quickly broke free of the Kelburne defence, but they were unable to play the ball past Kelburne keeper, Jonny Barlow. Kelburne soon regained their attacking form from the previous half, and it was not long before they were awarded another short corner, but were unable to convert it. Kelburne continued to attack the Gifnock goal, and soon Kelburne equalized from and excellent flick from Andrew Duff over the diving Giffnock keeper. Kelburne quickly followed this up with a second thanks to some beautiful play from Richard Donaldson, and an excellent shot slotted past the Giffnock keeper by Willie Allan. Kelburne continued to pressure the Giffnock zone for the rest of the half, denying them any opportunities to equalise.
At full-time the score stood at 2 - 1 to Kelburne. An estatic Kelburne earned a well deserved and long awaited victory. Andrew Duff and John-Gerard Shepard were both awarded man-of-the-match for their excellent performaces which helped the team to achieve this victory.
