Kelburne went into this game looking to bounce back after their defeat to arch rivals western and knowing that 7 points out of the last 3 games would see them win their 8th consecutive title.
Kelburne started slowly with a couple of early mistakes causing concern but they then recovered and dominated possesion with Watsonians only managing to create a couple
of break-aways. With all the possesion Kelburne created numerous chances but failed to put them away. Just before the half time whistle kelburne managed to finally find the breakthrough from young midfielder Jason Cairns' (pictured right) reverse stick strike.

Kelburne started the second half as they ended the first , in complete control. They kept pushing to turn their dominance into goals and eventually the second goal came after
Kelburne created another opportunity which resulted in a short coner which was converted by Gordon Menzies. Minutes later the 'Burne managed to grab another short corner which once again was converted by Gordon Menzies. Kelburne now began creating chance after chance and their pressure eventually paid off as yet again they won a short corner which was converted by Jason Cairns with a lovely drag flick into the right hand side of the net. The Paisley team kept creating chances looking for a 5th but the game finished 4:0 to Kelburne.
It was a very solid and comfortable win for Kelburne who now only need 4 points from a possible 6 to emulate the 1st XIs league victory.
