Scotland U16 girls are in action this weekend when they take on Ireland in Belfast and Kelburne will be represented by rising stars Amanda Maxwell and Laurie Kirkland.
Scotland U16 Girls Coach, Colin Clarke said: ?The matches this weekend should be a good test, as generally the Irish are very strong at youth level, and it will also provide us with a useful build up to the matches we have at the end of June against England and Belgium.?
?Although it is a development year these are important games. Some of the girls will step up to the U18 team next year, and so these matches are a significant part of their personal development process.?
?The preparations have gone well, and although we were unable to travel to Germany due to the volcano, the girls have been training hard, and this will be their first real test since the Wales games back in April.?
The Girls? first match pushes back at 11.30am on Saturday morning.
