Kelburne started this years campaign at a sodden Peffermill against old rivals Inverleith.
Kelburne started brightly and pushed Inverleith back and pressurised them all over the park, and it was not a surprise when Kelburne took the lead through the impressive Mark Connor. Despite all the pressure and countless short corners Kelburne were unable to add to their lead by the interval.
The second half started with Ed Greaves doubling Kelburnes lead with a composed finish, the impressive Lee Morton then scored Kelburnes 3rd with a reverse stick shot.
Michael Nicol socred Kelburne's 4th with a mazy run that saw him tear through the Inverleith defence before coolly slipping ball past the Inverleith keeper from close range and Ryan Edgar completed the scoring converting a well worked short corner deflecting a shot from Scottish U21 Internationalist & debutant Ross McIntyre in at the back post.
This was an excellent performance from the young Kelburne squad who led by skipper Craig Morton did not allow Inverleith a shot at goal this set them up for their next match against Aberdeen Bon Accord.
The hockey played by this Kelburne squad was excellent and in particular the 10 minute spell after the interval when they totally ran riot against their opposition. The midfield trio of Adam Mcinnes, Lee Morton and Ross Mcintyre were superb and created numerous chances for the Kelburne front line.
Harry Godfrey & Brodie McKay were excellent in defence and the contributions of Jack McAllister and John Gerard Shephard were also important as Kelburne dominated their East Coast opposition.

Ed Greaves opened the scoring when his shot eluded everyone and was deflected past the Bon Accord keeper. Ryan Edgar added another deflecting a shot past the keeper from close range to give Kelburne a 2 - 0 interval lead.
