Kelburne 4XI make early exit From Scottish Reserve Cup

Kelburne 4XI (0) V Grange Developement (1)

The 4XI had a break from league action on Saturday when they entertained Grange Developement in the Scottish Reserve Cup 2nd round at Bellahouston.
Right from the first whistle the 4's struggled to get into their usual fluent passing game, with too many passes going astray and too many unforced errors occuring all around the pitch.

With neither team able to take control of the game, and chances few and far between, the first half unsurprisingly ended 0-0.
After their half time team talk, the 4's came out in the 2nd half looking a bit more like themselves.  With more passes finding their intended target the home side started to push the visitors onto the back foot and started to carve out some chances.  However due to a combination of poor finishing and a poor final ball, the match remained goalless.
With only 2 minutes remaining and the game looking increasingly likely of going to a penalty shoot out, Grange, against the run of play, broke upfield and scored with only their second attempt at goal.
The deflated 4's only had time to take the push back after the goal before the final whistle was sounded.
The 4's must now pick themselves up before getting back to league action next weekend at home to Hillhead 3XI.
