Clydesdale 2nd XI       :1
Kelburne Mens 2nd XI: 2

After Kelburne's draw with Edinburgh Uni last week, thisweek's main objective was to come away from Clydesdale with all 3 points. The game started off at a very high pace with both teams having roughly equal possession.  Clydesdale had the first chance in the game early on in the first half. The Clydesdale forward ended up one on one, with Fergus Barrows making a good save.  This was a result of some sloppy defending and good play from Clydesdale down the left hand side.  The game continued in the same fashion for much of the second half.  However, towards the end of the half, the Burne started to press the Dale defence and put them under more pressure causing them to make mistakes and give the ball away.  Kelburne's pressure eventually paid off on the stroke of half time. Kelburne won the ball on the halfway line and after a few nice passes Ed Greaves received the ball at top D.  He cooly struck the ball into the bottom left hand side.

Half time Clydesdale 0 - 1 Kelburne.

Kelburne went into the second half with a positive attitude after their strong finish to the previous half.  However, this mood changed as Clydesdale worked their way down the left.  Eventually the ball was crossed in and deflected goal bound.  Fergus made a good save initially but could not keep out the rebound.  For the next period of the game not much happened.  The best chances for both teams were via short corners.  Kelburne won another short corner.  The original straight strike was well saved by the defender on the line but the ball fell to Fraser Hutchison who slotted the ball into the roof of the net from a tight angle.  The game continued to the end, with the only clear chance coming from Kelburne's Miles Goldie who did well to latch on to Colin Bryce's cross but could not quite direct it into the goal.

Final Score Clydesdale 1 - 2 Kelburne
