Weekend Preview - 17th / 18th March

This is another busy weekend of action for the Kelburne squads as the season nears its climax.
After securing the League title last weekend, the Gents 1st XI turn their attention to the Scottish Cup. On Sunday they face Division 2 run away leaders,Gordonians in a quarter final tie at Bellahouston as Kelburne seek to continue their 100% record this season.
The second XI have a top of the table clash with nearest  rivals Grange II. Kelburne are looking to win their 10th consecutive title and a win on Saturday will go a long way in achieving this goal.
After the disappointment of losing to local rivals last weekend, captain Alan Ralph takes his young development squad to Lanark to face Clydeside as they aim to win there remaining games in the hope that the teams above them falter.
The 5th XI still seeking their first win of 2012 entertain Glasgow Accies in a tough encounter at Bellahouston on Saturday afternoon.
The 1st XI have an away day weekend, Saturday sees them at Peffermill in league action against Grange, Kelburne will be looking to get back to winning ways after last weeks disappointing loss to Cala. On Sunday the face a tough trip to Dundee to play Scottish Cup holders Grove in the quarter final of the Scottish Cup, having run Grove close in the league earleir in the season the girls remain optimistic of causing an upset.
Ladies 2nd XI travel to Peffermill on Sunday to face Edinburgh University second string, another tough outing for the girls looks on the cards.
The Ladies 3rd XI face a tough local derby against old rivals Ferguslie at Bellahouston, Jen Owen's youngsters have been receiving plaudits all year and their performances have been encouraging.
This Sunday sees the annual West District tournament sponsored by FITS at Titwood. Kelburne has entered 2 squads at each level (U10, U12 & U14) as they look to retain the 3 titles won last year.
