2nd XI struggle to win

Thomsons Cycles Kelburne 2 - 0 Western 3rd XI

After the first two league games being strong wins Thomsons Kelburne wanted to continue the form with another convincing win.

The game started with a Western push back that was quickly turned over by the Kelburne defence that was straight in the face of the Western attack. Kelburne dominated the first ten minutes having most of the possession in last third. The first goal came after a run from Adam Bain across the top the D that he managed to slot the ball top corner.
1-0 Thomsons Kelburne

After the goal Kelburne let Western come back into the game and struggled at times to link more than 3 passes together. Both sides play became unstructured that ended up with both sides getting more physical as the game went on.

The second goal of the match came from a quick breakaway from Kelburne that found new comer Sandeep run into the D unmarked who took no time to hammer the ball high past the keeper into the net. 2-0 Kelburne

The goal settled Kelburne who managed to see the first half off without concern.

HT Thomsons Kelburne 2 - 0 Western

Kelburne started the second half as they ended the 1st and managed to keep control for a while, but an injury to Harry Godfrey left Kelburne with no subs.

So as the half went on Kelburne started to tire that left a few gaps that western managed to take advantage of and win a few short corners. Junior Internationalist Fergus Barrows managed to keep all shots and drag flicks out for yet another clean sheet.

Final score Thomsons Kelburne 2 - 0 Western

Not the usual Kelburne standard but a wins a win and hopefully form will return for the next game against Clydesdale 2's whom they play this Saturday at Titwood.
