Kelburne U14's in Indoor action

The first of the Kelburne U14's squad competed in Group A of the West District Indoor Competition at the Lagoon on Sunday.
First game saw them up against a very strong Western squad, and the Kelburne squad took an early lead through Finn Halliday, Western hit back with a quick fire double before Ross Wallace restored parity just before half time.
The Second half saw both teams looking for the victory and further goals by Ruaraidh MacVie and Finn saw Kelburne take a 4 -3 lead with 5 minutes remaining, however a Western onslaught saw them take victory with a late winner score Kelburne 4 - 5 Western
Next up saw county rivals Greenock as the opponents and they were dispatched 7 - 5, with 6 goals from Ross Wallace and a Rachel Bain strike.
Final match was against group favourites Clydesdale and although the young squad started well with early goals from Ross Wallace and Finn Halliday it was Clydesdale who took the iniative to score 7 goals without reply to take a 9 - 2 lead a late flurry of goals sw the game end 12 - 5 to Clydesdale after Ross Wallace scored a further 3 goals.
Young Kelburne squad now head to the Shield competition with a view to winning a place in the January final.
Young Ross Wallace was a star on the day scoring 11 of the 16 goals scored by Kelburne on the day. 
The other Kelburne squad will be in action on the 18th November as they look to qualify for the cup final.
