Glynhill Kelburne lose to Wildcats

In todays match very little went right for Kelburne  in a match played in very poor conditions of wind and rain .
Despite the possession percentage being around 60 to 40 in Kelburne,s favour  it was Western who took there chances with the usual suspects of McCartney and Simpson doing the damage .
After 14 minutes Wildcats took the lead through McCartney and 7 minutes later Dougie Simpson doubled their advantage.
Half -Time 0 - 2
12 minutes into 2nd half Simpson scored again and 3 minutes later McCartney got his 2nd to give Wildcats a 4 - 0 lead.
Glynhill Kelburne came roaring back into the game and Jack McKenzie scored his 4th goal of the weekend to reduce the deficit, on the hour mark Scott Sutherland converted a penalty corner to pull another back.
Kelburne came very close on several occasions in the closing stages to reducing the deficit further  , but the damage was already done .
Overall the performance was not as bad as the scoreline would suggest ,but hopefully this will act as a wake up call to everyone that nothing can be taken for granted and we still have plenty of time to get things right ,with 16 games to play .
No games this weekend due to Junior Inter-Districts at Glasgow Green
