Glasgow Accies                       2
Kelburne 4's visited Glasgow Academy to take on the Accies 1's in the first game of the new season.
The game was a fairly even affair for the first ten minutes with both teams playing some decent hockey but with little attacking outcome. Kelburne settled and began to pin the Accies into their own half leaving them with the long ball out as their main method of play. The pressure told and Kelburne scored the opening goal, from a short corner, James Currie striking from the top of the circle. The resulting pressure from Kelburne led to two more quick scores, 3-0 going into half time.
However a poor pass out from defence was intercepted by an Accies midfielder who drove into the circle and scored an excellent goal from an acute angle.

The second half saw both teams tire and the play became more individual rather than teamwork. Kelburne scored a quick goal to go 4-1 up before conceding a penalty corner to  Accies who took full advantage to score their second goal of the game. No more goals despite several "missed" opportunities for Kelburne
