The Ladies 3rd XI playing in West District Division 2.  The squad is essentially our Ladies’ development squad, with the strength and experience of some of the club’s more experienced stalwarts.  The youth and enthusiasm of the youngsters, alongside some past Scottish internationalists, makes for a talented and motivated team.

In 2018 the team will be coached by Gordon Martin (himself a Kelburne player) and David Westwood who is also coach to the 1st XI and Head of the Kelburne Ladies’ Section. Rachael Ewing-Day has responsibility for the Jockey hockey on a Saturday morning and as the next developmental step from this is to the Ladies 3's she is well placed to nurture and guide our rising stars before they go up to play for the Ladies 3s Development side.

The 3's squad boasts a number of young girls who represent South West District at U-14's and U-16's level.

Training takes place at Glasgow Green at on a Tuesday. The session is taken by David, Gordon and Jen Morgan and consists of skills development practices alongside tactic games strategy work and also game time.  Attendance is obviously encouraged and players maybe asked to step up the the Thursday night session as well (invitation only). New players take part in our Development Sessions before being invited to join the Ladies’ 3s training squad.

The team consists of a number of mother daughter partnerships, students, teachers, police officers, U-16's, U14s and siblings. The progression is to play well consistently for the 3's and quickly move up to our 2nd XI who play in the National Reserve League.  Throughout the season players may move between teams to ensure everyone is progressing and developing at the appropriate level.
