Bromac Kelburne Mens 1s Finish with a Win vs Watsonians

Bromac Kelburne 1s Finish the first half of the Season with a Win vs Watsonians - 26.11.16

Kelburne were looking to finish off the 1st half of the outdoor season with a win through in Edinburgh, on a cold afternoon at Peffermill, which would keep them at the top of the league going into the winter break.

It took time for Kelburne to get going and the 1st 20 minutes were below the standards expected but they were still able to find themselves 2-0 up at half time through New Zealander Nick Finlayson and the talented Jack Mckenzie. 1st coming from a short corner deflection and secondly quick thinking of a rebound to put the ball into the roof of the net.

At half time coach Shepherd had a few harsh words to say to rally the boys for the 2nd half and deservingly so as the impact was noticeable from the restart. There was more pace and energy throughout the team resulting in a better all round performance.
A further 2 goals from Jack Mckenzie to complete his hat trick and one from Jonas Nommensen concluded the scoring. Kelburne had numerous chances to score but for some fine goalkeeping keeping the score down.

Kelburne will be happy going into the break on a positive note but there is still a lot of hard work to do on the resuming of the outdoor leauge in February.

Kelburne 5-0 Watsonians
