In the first quarter kelburne started strong with Jen Morgan winning a few short corners but giffnock defended them well. Giffnock then put pressure on kelburnes defense and managed to secure the first goal of the match but not long after Jazlyn Sandhu evened the score with a reverse shot at top D. Giffnock ramped up the pressure in the second quarter taking advantage of the green card given against Jazlyn Sandhu By earning short corners but good defending from kelburne and vital saves from Lynne Houston kept the score even.
The 3rd quarter was run by kelburne starting with Emma Ryan having an off the post strong shot. Neve Simpson then won another short corner but giffnocks goalkeeper made the save. To end the quarter on a high Jazlyn Sandhu scored her second goal of the match. In the final quarter giffnock changed their formation but kelburne were able to absorb the increased pressure reacting with a strong counter Attack. Jen Morgan finished the game with a spectacular goal to seal their victory.
The ladies 2s hope to continue their running streak of victories with their match against ghk next weekend.
